Inside, the fortune said, "When you are finished changing, you are finished."
So instead of moseying into the kitchen and pouring myself a glass of soda, I ran out to the car and grabbed a bottle of water that had never made it inside.
Baby steps.
Today, I weigh 143 pounds.
I have gained weight since I started this blog.
But, I am determined making it work. The lifestyle changes I mean. Because I am not finished changing.
Not even a little bit.

Motivation
So, since I have started my weight loss project I have done...well...nothing.
To be honest, if you told me that I had gained a pound or two or five, I wouldn't be entirely surprised. I am not sure why I never really started working toward my goals, but I just haven't.
I am not gonna make up a whole bunch of excuses.
What I am going to do is tell you that I received a little motivation today, from 2 places.
1. Pictures. From dying Easter eggs. Not only was I fat, but my skin looks disgusting. Eww, eww, eww. Lord help me.
2. I have decided to enroll Gemma in waterbabies. Since she is a teeny tot (she is 7 months old) I have to join her in the pool. Since I am pretty sure sweats are not pool approved attire, that means I have to be at least bathing suit ready. I am not holding my breath for bikini ready though, as the class starts April 27th, which gives me a grand total of TWO WEEKS to not look completely gross. How is that for motivation?
Now that there is a fire lit under my...umm, bum, I am really going to do this thing. This might be exactly what I need to get going in the right direction.

I will be in tomorrow for a Wednesday weigh-in and hopefully a game plan.
Until then, let's think thin!

Away We Go...
I woke up today, and I weighed myself.
The scale said 139.4.
It might not sound that bad, but with a B.M.I. of 25.6, I am officially overweight, for the first time in my life.
That is bad.
Mama is not happy.
I knew that I would be taking the first step's of what I hope will be a weight loss journey, today. My original plan was to go in without a plan. I thought it would be a revolutionary idea, to buck convential wisdom, to prove that a plan was not imperative to weight loss.
Two buttered rolls, three Peeps, and about 24 ounces of Pepsi later, I am pretty sure that I was wrong.
Instead, my plan of attack will be (for the next two weeks):

Instead, my plan of attack will be (for the next two weeks):
- Head to the gym for cardio at least three days a week, for 45 minutes.
- Do a full strength training workout at least one day a week. (Strength training intimidates me.)
- Limit myself to 1200-1500 calories a day.
- Track all food and drink on Spark.
- Only weigh myself on Mondays.
Away we go...

First Post
I have wanted to lose weight for a while.
I was at work, blog-surfing, (productive) and I stumbled upon a bunch of weight loss blogs. That got the gears turning, and I told myself that if the name Bikini After Baby was available (it just randomly popped into my head,) that it was meant for me to start my own weight loss blog.
Here I am.
I have actually "had" the blog for a couple of weeks, but I decided to start the Monday after Easter.
I think that springtime is a good time to start my journey, as it is a season of rebirth, and I want to be reborn into a fitter, healthier, more confident person.
Plus, why not wait until after Easter, and indulge in a nice slice of carrot cake or some macaroni and cheese.
See you Monday!
